Academic & Grading Policies
Giant Campus Academy maintains consistent academic and grading standards to help students understand how their academic performance is evaluated and recorded.
The information below outlines our grading practices, grading scale, Grade Point Average (GPA) calculations, transfer grades, and related academic policies.
Grading & Teacher Feedback
Teachers provide grading feedback on student coursework to support academic growth and help students strengthen their understanding of course material.
Grading Timeframe
Teachers are generally provided up to 72 business hours to grade submitted coursework and provide feedback.
Certain circumstances may require additional grading time, including:
- Courses or assignments that require more extensive review or feedback
- Coursework completed significantly ahead of the recommended pacing schedule
- High-volume submissions, including more than 10 assignments submitted within a 24- to 48-hour period
Students are encouraged to follow their recommended pacing schedule and allow adequate time for coursework to be graded before submitting large volumes of additional assignments.

| 87-89.9% | B+ | 3.3 |
| 84-86.9% | B | 3.0 |
| 80-83.9% | B- | 2.7 |
| 77-79.9% | C+ | 2.3 |
| 74-76.9% | C | 2.0 |
| 70-73.9% | C- | 1.7 |
| 67-69.9% | D+ | 1.3 |
| 64-66.9% | D | 1.0 |
| 60-63.9% | D- | 0.7 |
| 0-59.9% | F | 0.0 |
Giant Campus Academy does not issue an A+ or F-.
Final course scores are not rounded up or down when determining the final letter grade.
Grade Point Average (GPA) & Course Weighting
All courses and grades at Giant Campus Academy are unweighted.
Giant Campus Academy does not offer Advanced Placement (AP) or Honors courses. Courses accepted for transfer are calculated according to Giant Campus Academy’s grading policies and do not receive additional GPA weight or quality points.
As a result, the maximum cumulative GPA earned through Giant Campus Academy is 4.0.
Transfer credits are reviewed as part of the student’s transcript evaluation and academic planning process.
Withdrawal Grades
When applicable, Giant Campus Academy may use the following withdrawal designations:
WP – Withdraw Passing
Indicates that the student was passing the course at the time of withdrawal.
WF – Withdraw Failing
Indicates that the student was failing the course at the time of withdrawal.
Withdrawal designations are assigned according to Giant Campus Academy’s applicable withdrawal policies.
Graduation Requirements
Students working toward a Giant Campus Academy diploma must meet the Academy’s applicable graduation and residency requirements.
